PROGRAM:  The True Value of Volunteerism: how collaboration unlocks a community’spotential and brings joy to lives.

DATE/TIME:  Friday, April 23 from 12:00pm to 1:30 – boxed lunch will be provided

For those who cannot attend in person we will offer a zoom option. Please indicate your registration preference, either in-person or zoom, when registering. A zoom link will be sent to those attending virtually.

TRAINER: Chris Rucker, MHA
Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff, Valley Health System and President, Valley Regional Enterprises

Chris Rucker serves as chief strategy officer and chief of staff for Valley Health System and president of Valley Regional Enterprises. Chris is responsible for leading the development and execution of Valley Health’s strategy, operational planning and business development. In addition, he leads brand and creative strategy, overseeing marketing and communications, physician relations, and public relations in support of the organization’s mission and strategic growth objectives.

Chris’ previous experience includes executive roles in emergency services and outsourced safety, logistics, and medical transportation, where his responsibilities encompassed operations, strategy, business development, marketing, and governmental relations for markets spanning multiple states in the southern US.

A former paramedic firefighter, Chris has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Health Administration. A lifelong community volunteer, examples of Chris’ service in community and non-profit organizations include the United Way, Our Health, the Red Cross, Bright Futures, the Winchester Fire and Rescue Foundation, various chambers of commerce, and the Boy Scouts of America. As a visible and engaged member of the community, Chris excels in convening stakeholders and aligning diverse interests for the shared purpose of improving the community’s health.

Chris is a community leader, volunteer and avid believer in the power of accomplishing more through collaboration.
