As the days grow longer and the sun shines brighter, there’s no better time to step outside and soak in the season. Summer isn’t just beautiful—it’s also good for your health. Time spent outdoors can reduce stress, lift your mood, improve fitness, and strengthen social connections.
This summer, Our Health invites you to rediscover those benefits at the Healthy Living and Farmers Market, held from 10 AM to 2 PM on the third Tuesday of each month, June through September. The event takes place on our campus in downtown Winchester.
Discover Wellness and Community All in One Place

At each Healthy Living and Farmers Market event, you’ll find farm-fresh produce, free health screenings, wellness experts, and community resources all in one vibrant setting. It’s a place where neighbors connect and health comes first.
Additionally, the market offers a chance to meet the many Our Health partner organizations that support well-being across every stage of life. Each month features different partners, programs, and seasonal offerings.
Make the Most of the Season with Local Partners

Fortunately, our region is full of ways to enjoy the outdoors and stay healthy. For example, you can explore the Blandy Experimental Farm, home to peaceful trails and the famous Ginkgo Grove. Or, take in a Story Walk or community stroll—perfect for families looking to combine fresh air and fun.
To keep kids active, check out Girls on the Run of the Shenandoah Valley and the 2 for 2 Foundation. These programs offer energetic, joyful ways to get families moving together in the great outdoors.
Wellness Should Be for Everyone

Spending time outside is more than just getting sunshine—it’s about connection. And most importantly, outdoor time should be accessible to all. That’s why Our Health collaborates with partners who serve individuals with cognitive and neurological conditions.
For instance, the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Richmond Chapter, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Virginia provide education, caregiver resources, and support—helping people enjoy meaningful experiences in nature.
Additionally, we’re proud to highlight the work of the Winchester Police Department Support Services, which promotes safety and wellness for vulnerable community members all year long.
Whether you’re adjusting to a diagnosis, seeking caregiver help, or joining group activities, Our Health and its partners are here to support your wellness journey.
